I am particularly fascinated by the period of the Vasa dynasty in 16th-17th century Sweden and Poland, the history of the Grand Duchy of Finland between 1809-1917, and the Russo-Finnish wars in 1939-1944. I have long admired the Marshal of Finland, C.G.E. Mannerheim (1867-1951), a Swedish-Finnish nobleman and former Tsarist officer, who successfully defended Finland from Soviet annexation attempts during World War II.
Many thanks for visiting my blog. Best wishes.

Congratulations!
Thanks, Elena!
Should be an interesting read! :) If you've got anything about the Baltic countries, please post on them. They're a region of Europe that we don't hear much about.
Yes, I'm hoping to. I like learning/writing about areas that tend not to be discussed.
Thanks for visiting!
